Hello from Kenya
Today we went in to town to today, and met A new boy he was so young. Maybe 8 years old. He was not easy to understand. He was thankful for the food we were able to give him. He was already sniffing glue. I need to pray on this as we need to get these young boys off the streets.
Hopefully you can pray with us. AIDS seems like a quiet subject but in the short time we have been here we know of 3 people who have found out the have contracted it. Jotham has also told us about a young woman out near his farming area who is in her twenties, and has AIDS she also has two twin 3month old babies her husband abandoned them when he found out she was positive. we are determined to try to help her.
On a personal note I am mssing friends. Elijah started school and the first two days were good today not so good. So i hope we wok through this incident. We would love to hear from some of You!
Molly, Joe and Elijah,
Please know you are in my prayers regularly. This was my first vist to your Blog page since you left…..I will visit regularly. I can only imagine how busy you are so do not expect individual emails….and this method is a wonderful way for all of us to keep up with what is happening on your end….I hope you’ll continue.
PS - Please share your personal trials on the Blog page as people back here need to understand the personal challenges you face in doing God’s work so they can understand the need to support your “LIVING EXPENSE” fund just as much as the Ministry Fund. If we don’t support you then you doing God’s work is ten times harder. I know you 2 well enough to know you have a hard time with asking for yourselves - but I beg you to recognize your and Elijah’s needs as being important enough to ask because if you’re not OK then the children you want to minister to wouldn’t get all you have to give.
May God sustain you and bless you and Elijah as you continue on this venture in HIS name.
All our love, Sally & Paul
Thank you for doing the blog. It helps us to know what to pray for specifically.
So many people I know read your article in the paper and are so amazed at what you are doing.
Keep up the wonderful and challenging work. I know it is especially difficult for Elijah. He will be in our daily prayers.
Wow, it is so wild to read about a new story that should grip our hearts each time you write. It’s mind-boggling how many opportunities the Lord brings to live with purpose for His fame. I think that it becomes a lot easier to see those opportunities when you are in a place where there are fewer “things” around. Thanks for writing about these daily discoveries that you are making. Reading this has challenged me to keep my eyes open here in Florida as well.
I agree with the others who have commented previously; your updates help us know more specifically what we can pray about. Please let us know what is going on. Say hi to Joe and Elijah for me please.
Much love
-Kyle
Hey Molly,
It sounds like some very exciting things have happened in just a few short weeks. Everytime I read about the street boys and the people you’re meeting I wish I was there with you! I hope that things get easier for you, Joe and Elijah as time goes on. Know that I’m praying for you and miss you all so much. See you soon
Hey Molly and Joe,
I started reading through your blogs today and it brings back so many memories, I wish I could be back there. It sounds like you are making some progress, especially in making relationships. It is nice to read about what is happening over there. I’m praying for you guys.
Molly, it sounds like you’re very busy and things are very challenging but I know you will get through it. All us girls think about you very often and we love and miss you very much. I’ll talk to you soon. I love you.

Hey guys. I’ve been wondering how everything worked out with that duplex that was taking in refugees. Did they ever fill it up? Are there still effects from the displacements?
I hope everything is goin’ well for ya. And let Joseph know that I’m training for Kilimanjaro!
Love ya.
I keep checking this thing everytime I get online! Hopefully you will have a chance to come back online soon. Steve reminded me with his comment this morning; I have got back in the gym as well. I’m cycling and working out, so I will be ready to tackle Kilimanjaro too! And impress all the little kids with the “muscles” that they love to see
.
Dear Molly, Joseph and Elijah,
You all are in my heart, mind and prayers always. I imagine everyday is filled with so many emotions from heartbreak to hope. I know what you are doing must seem overwhelming with so much people in need. Which brings to mind the “star fish story”
Once a man was walking along a beach. Off in the distance he could see a person going back and forth between the surf’s edge and the beach. As the man approached he could see that there were hundreds of starfish stranded on the sand as the result of the natural action of the tide. The man was struck by the apparent futility of the task. As he came up to the person he said, “you must be crazy. There are thousands of miles of beach covered with starfish. You can’t possibly make a difference.” The person looked at the man. He then stooped down and picked up one more starfish and threw it back into the ocean. He turned back to the man and said, “It sure made a difference to that one!” For sure you are making a difference!! I am blessed that I know such brave and wonderful people who made a difference in my life. You all are missed, esp you Molly by Amy!
Love,
Kris

Hey Molly - I check your site everytime I log on, to see what’s happening with you. I just don’t leave you comments - feels kinda’ weird this bloggin’ stuff! Anyway, know that you are all in my prayers; I think of you often and wish I could just pick up the phone and call you to see how you’re doing, and tell you I love and miss you. Stay strong.
Much love,
Sharon
